EMERGING Synergy
IBM estimates that humanity creates 2.4 quintillion bytes (a quintillion is one billion billion) of data every day.
90% of the data in the world today has been created in the last two years alone.
By 2020 there could be four times more digital data than all the grains of sand on Earth.
More people on Earth have access to mobile phones than restrooms.
Only .05% of all of today’s digital data is actually being analyzed.
