1. India-Israel bilateral trade

1. Bilateral figures for the first eleven months of 2005 have been received from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Israel. Salient points:

India-Israel two-way trade increased by 19.67%

during January-November of 2005, from $ 1954.7 million in 2004 to $ 2339.1 million in 2005.

Indian exports to Israel during January-November of 2005 increased by 16.5% from $ 1032.0 million in 2004 to $ 1202.3 million in 2005. Indian exports, excluding diamonds increased by 24.22%, from $ 297.7 million in 2004 to $ 369.8 million in 2005.

There was an increase of 15.36% in diamonds traded between the two countries during January-November of 2005, from $ 1352.1 million in 2004 to $ 1559.8 million in 2005. Exports of diamonds from India increased by 13.36% from $ 734.3 million in 2004 to $ 832.5 million in 2005 while imports into India increased by 17.7%, from $ 617.8 million in 2004 to $ 727.3 million in 2005.
