Visitor Management Application

In many buildings and premises, visitors are still registered using a handwritten log book. In a way, this method is quick and very easy to implement without requiring much effort to educate both receptionists and visitors. However, this method provides no security, hard to trace, and provides no privacy for visitor’s information because the log book can be easily accessed by anyone.

Electronic Visitor Management is a software solution designed using the latest available technologies to register and to manage visitor electronically. Electronic Visitor Application can be run in standalone mode, which is very similar to log book but in an electronic form. It can also be run as a module to the L-Intelligent Access Control System which enables visitor automatically to gain entry into permissible access control areas.

Web Application

Designed with today’s standard as web application, the basic Electronic Visitor Application user interface requires nothing but web browser to operate. It can be accessed from regular PC workstation, laptop, smartphone and tablet running on top of various operating systems.

The more advanced Electronic Visitor Application on Microsoft Windows PC workstation or laptop can be connected to other devices such as camera, passport scanner with Optical Character Recognition support, fingerprint reader, barcode scanner, and badge printer.

Standardized, Powerful and Cost Effective

Electronic Visitor Application server runs on Microsoft Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2012, 2016) and Microsoft Windows 7/8/10. It supports both 32-bit and 64-bit version of the Operating System.

Based on user’s preferences, Electronic Visitor Application can use several database engines: Microsoft SQL Server and Express, Oracle database and PostgreSQL database.

Integration to L-Intelligent Access Control System

Electronic Visitor Application can be run as a module to L-Intelligent Access Control System.

Any visitors who are registered through Electronic Visitor Application can be assigned access card and automatically be assigned predefined access levels to a single or multiple areas which are controlled by access control system.

It also possible to assign a single or multiple floors on elevator system which are controlled by L-Intelligent Access Control system.

• Web application with single unified basic user interface using web browsers. Supported web browsers are: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari and multiple mobile browsers: Safari mobile, Android native browser, Chrome mobile, Opera mobile and Internet Explorer mobile.

• Supported OS: Microsoft Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 and Windows 7/8/10 both 32-bit and 64-bit version. Supported Database Engines: Microsoft SQL Server & Express, Oracle Database & PostgreSQL Database.

• Can be run as a module to L-Intelligent Access Control System to assign access card for visitor and automatically assign predefined access level to a single or multiple access areas and elevator’s floors.

• Supports TWAIN compatible passport scanner with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to automatically collect information from visitor identification document. List of recognized identity documents which are identifiable by using the built-in OCR are located on the back of this datasheet.

• Supports standard web camera to take real time photograph of the visitor.

• Capable of using fingerprint scanner to collect visitor’s fingerprint. Supports barcode reader and printer.

• Supports USB connected card reader to read access card’s CSN (HID Proximity, HID iCLASS, Mifare, and EM). The card reader is used to speed up check-in and check-out process.

• Supports self check-in Visitor Kiosk to exchange invitation barcode as e-mail attachment with visitor RFID cards.

• A single Electronic Visitor Application server and database can supports multiple PC workstations used by multiple receptionists and operators.

• Can flag a visitor so that recurrent visit from the same visitor can trigger a notification pop-up window on the receptionist’s registration window.

• Able to check-out visitors automatically when visit time expired. Visit time limit can be set on exact hour and minute on the same day.

• Has built-in report module to generate visitor and visit information. Report can be saved as PDF, XLS and CSV. Custom report module can be added if required.

• Has built-in scheduler to email multiple reports to multiple email addresses on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
