The organizing committee led by Drs. Hammami and Tawil has lined up a wonderful program for you with outstanding speakers, many of whom are recognized experts in their fields. This conference is the product of a great team effort from the organizing committee and the convention and scientific chairs. Also, this would not have been possible without the collaboration of multiple national and international organizations from Egypt and the United States. I would like to extend to each and every one of them, my utmost gratitude and appreciation.
We hope that you walk out of the conference with an inspired mind, a replenished passion in your heart and a lot of new friends.
Rouba Ali-Fehmi, MD NAAMA National President
Dear Members, Families, Colleagues and Guests,It is with great pleasure that we welcome you on behalf of the National Arab American Medical Association (NAAMA) to our 31st International Medical Convention.
NAAMA conventions traditionally offer a distinctive mix of science and social activities where members and their families enjoy both the educational opportunity and to relax and enjoy time with colleagues. Our convention in Cairo, Egypt remained true to this tradition by combining a state-of-the-art scientific program with an amazing and memorable social activity.
This year’s scientific theme “Global Medicine: Fostering Connections and Enriching Experiences”, is a befitting topic for connecting with our local colleagues at our first official collaboration with Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine. This will pave the road for future opportunities where towards the betterment of the medical profession and health in communities at home and abroad.
We also hope that you will enjoy Egypt’s long and majestic history where time spans through ancient civilizations into modern days. We invite you to wander through monuments that have withstood the challenge of time as well as to pursue into modern landmarks of Western-style high-rise hotels, shopping malls and apartment buildings that overlook the Nile River.
Welcome to Cairo. Ahlan wa Sahlan.
