APRIL 2019 JUDGING RESULTS
REMEMBER! There will be NO JUDGING at our May meeting! Instead, we will have our Annual Orchid Raffle. If you have any orchids you can’t bloom or you have trouble growing, bring them to the Raffle and let someone else try. Extra orchids from your re-pottings are also helpful. Don’t forget to tag them with the correct names. Bring lots of money because there will be some great deals on all kinds of orchids. Don’t Miss Out!
We seem to get more and more beautiful orchids at our judging tables. We appreciate that and encourage new members to bring their blooming orchids to participate. Members enjoy and learn so much by seeing and talking about the orchids members bring in. We thank everyone who brought in their orchids to share, so others can learn of the different types that grow best on South Florida.
We had a Culture Award this month. Mitchell Gazzia brought in a very heavy flowered Encyclia bractescens growing on a plank of wood. Lots of sunlight and frequent fertilizing produced this beautiful specimen. Congratulations, Mitchell, and thanks for sharing!
