Teaches Strategic Management: MGT 4335 (FTF, Hybrid and On-line)

Teaching Interests: -Strategic Management -Management Consulting -Business & Society

Research Interests: -Risk Assessment & Management -Corporate Social Performance -Social Issues & Organizations

My current research focuses on three general areas. First, I

explore how relationships between managers and the firm’s

stakeholders influence the performance of the firm/company.

Second, I examine managerial risk communications and how

those can inform shareholders about the firm’s level of risk.

Third, I am examining how the industry of finance influences

firm strategies.

When not at work, my favorite things to do are hang out at

home with my two little monsters, watch my Iowa Hawkeyes

and Oklahoma State Cowboys (and of course now the Texas

State Bobcats!), and CrossFit. This summer I attended my

20th high school reunion and ran a 7-mile road race in Iowa.

MGT 3353 & MGT 3453 labs are assigned to specific lectures. Verify that lecture and lab work with your class schedule.

If you want to register for a management course that is closed please fill out a Closed Class Request Form found on the Management website under Student Info tab, or visit the

Departmental Office (McCoy 524).

The Department of Management does not handle closed class requests over the phone.

Society for Human Resource Management Student Chapter

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) had a social at University Club on October 18 and we provided members with burgers, chips and drinks! We ended the night with a fun game of basketball! SHRM is still accepting new members, so if interested, please email the Vice President of Membership, Jocelyn Love at j_l458@txstate.edu.
