Condoleezza Rice, the Secretary of State under President George W. Bush, was considered by many to be a great black woman leader. She was good at negotiating with leaders around the world.

Good leaders don’t necessarily need to be in the realm of politics, however. Others, especially athletes, can leaders as well. They can also serve as role models.

Oprah Winfrey, a talk show host, is, like Michelle Obama, inspirational to many people, especially women. Many viewers of her talk show are inspired by what they consider to be her words of wisdom.

Darius Rucker, a country music singer, shows that a black person can be successful in a white-dominated music genre such as country.

Michael Jordan is another inspirational black basketball player. Many younger basketball players look up to him due to his greatness as a player.

Tiger Woods, a black professional golfer, was a role model for many people. He has made some bad decisions, however. He has had affairs with numerous women despite the fact that he is married and has two children. He isn’t a role model for many people now.
