SUMMARY

Variability biases in the precipitation are strong towards the south ofThe EASM region. However some models have a better representation of iteg. HadGEM, MPI and GFDL models.

SST during JJA is best captured by HadGem models. But DJF SSTs are not wellrepresented. Large uncertainty in simulating northwest Pacific SSTs by all modelspossibly because of the inadequate representation of Kuroshio dynamics.

Tele-connections of ENSO is manifested by Rossby wave trains (Wang, etal., 2001). It need to be seen how these wave trains are represented in models
