Pick one activity to do each day!Share any activity you do with your school Librarian!!!
Breaking News! The dinosaurs
escaped! Write a front page news
article about what happened. Keep in mind: how many, what types, how did they escape,
are they dangerous, who did we call if we see one, or more!
Think of someone who helps in your
community (medical worker, policeman,
fireman, postal worker, delivery driver, grocery
store worker, etc) Make a card for
them telling them you are thankful for what they do!
Email your librarian and tell them something you learned from a book. You could
even snap a photo of you reading :)

Draw a book cover for a book with
this title:
Dinosaurs Love Donuts
If you could go on vacation to
anywhere, where would you go?
Make a postcard that shows a
picture of a place and names it. Turn it over and write a message to a friend, telling what you do
there.
Write a different ending to your favorite book.
Change the setting. Change the character’s
feelings. Change the problem and
solution.
Write a diary entry as your
favorite character-
Reflect on their feelings during the story or put
them in a different
situation. How do they change throughout?
Create a App with a topic and ideas from a text in
mind. Create an icon, title, and
purpose. Guiding questions: what
would be the purpose, what book or topic
inspired your app, and what special features would
your app include?
Make your own Nonfiction text feature. Choose from my list or one you already
know: map, timeline, graph,
diagram with labels
Play Guess the Word! Read a
story and find a word you don’t
know (you’ll need to figure out what it means). Write
the word, cover it then write or
draw clues to help you or someone guess what your word is. Have a friend or family member try to
guess your word.
