1. 1 Static Master Plan

Calculate requirements based on current data.

The plan remain unchanged until next static master plan running.

It is an operation plan most likely run by purchaser or production planner.

1.2 Dynamics Master Plan

Calculate requirements based on net requirements.

It is an sales plan most likely run under the changing of sales order.

1.3 Dual Plan

Single plan (both static and dynamics are the same plan) and Dual plan (use different plan for static and dynamics).

Dual plan is used while sales simulation without affecting current results.

Single plan is used when the sales simulations is usually firmed to planned order.

2.1 General Coverage Group

It is default item coverage group in running master plan when item has not defined Item coverage group.

Priority:

Item Coverage >> General Coverage Group

2.2 Future Time

If receipt time > future time, one day will be added in future day (planned day).

E.g.

Running master plan based on this calendar.

User can select different calendar and run master plan.

4.1 Find Trade Agreement

Search vendor either in lowest price or shortest lead time when running master scheduling.

4.2 Receipt Time

Automatically assigned to planned production order.

If receipt time > future time, future message will be generated.

User can choose amend delivery date (receipt date of planned order) as future date.

5.1 Group by Vendor/ buyer / Period

Group planned purchase order by vendor / buyer / period.

6 Include criteria

User can include following criteria in master plan:

- On hand

- Inventory Transaction

- Sales Quotation (include %)

- RFQ

- Forecast Plan

7.1 Scheduling Method

Operation Scheduling

- Production will be scheduled in work center group and date

Job Scheduling

- Production will be scheduled in work center and time

7.2 Time fence (I)

Background capacity time fence

- Search for capacity which available

- usually 0 (search to today) Finite capacity

- Time fence for finite production scheduling Bottleneck capacity

- Time fence for bottleneck resources

Normally, finite capacity for short-term scheduling and bottleneck capacity for middle term scheduling
