5 Impaction of the insert over the head

Head alone (on the table)

Option

Impaction in situ (head on stem)

Important: In both cases remove any liquid from inside the insert

at the moment of impaction, as this may render the snap fit over

the head impossible.

Before reduction ensure that the head moves freely within the in-

sert. Residual air may prevent this from happening, in which case

re-compress to chase out any trapped air.
