New hardware - Drupal performance• 175 req/s   - memcache disabled• 1000 req/s - memcache enabled • 5500 req/s - with Boost module enabled

• alpha- and beta-testers • sites migrated according to the announced

schedule• 100 % sites availability in internal CERN

network • "read-only mode" for ~5-10 minutes• no issues reported

• External proxy server configured in front of Drupal Infrastructure [how about proxy outage / low performance?]

• Only one site (home) configured [what about other (eg. expertiments' , press, jobs ? ) ]

• redirect from old sitename to new (through proxy) [ what if proxy is down ? ]

• Solution delivered• No proxy server configured• Internal Redirects (no proxy)• Flexible aliases configuration 

(every Drupal site can have several ". cern" aliases )

• launched on 20th of October:home.cern ; www.cern ; www.home.cern

• limitation: SSL certificate re-issuing (official sites / purposes only )

Current Statistics • We are hosting more than 1000 sites !• 400  official

570  test / development34    personal sites

• average load: 820 000 hits/day (April-October 2015)

Incident on 14th October 2015: Drupal official sites down

• Database infrastructure suddenly down• recovery time: 25 minutes• More reliable solution under development by
