Downtown Pittsburgh is experiencing a dramatic “renaissance” that is marked by a new generation of individuals who are calling Downtown Pittsburgh “home.” Pittsburgh boasts a significantly higher-than average number of cultural, sporting, historic, artistic, dining, lifestyle, and retail offerings. Everything you are looking for is right here – in Downtown Pittsburgh!

DID YOU KNOW? Downtown Pittsburgh offers a variety of seasonal and year-round farmers’ markets, as well as grocery stores and hardware stores within a three mile radius of the golden triangle. Plans are currently underway to bring a grocery store right to the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh.

The Essentials

I Need to Get From Here to There

DID YOU KNOW? Downtown Pittsburgh plans to launch a car sharing program in 2007, where residents and workers can rent a car by the hour, or by the day! Car sharing has already been successful in cites such as Seattle, San Diego, Boston and Washington D.C.

There are many inexpensive transportation options available for downtown residents to get around. Traveling within the four light rail stations in the downtown area is free, as are some no-fare bus zones within the Triangle.

Port Authority • Yellow Cab • Water Taxis • Car Sharing Program • Rental Car Agencies (AVIS, Hertz, etc.)

Everything is Close By
