Heartland Men’s Chorus has a big year ahead, and we want you along for the ride! Brighter than the Plaza lights and nuttier than The Nutcracker: discover Kansas City’s other holiday tradition. HMC teams with Marilyn Maye and a big brass band to swing you into the holidays with style. In spring, we will transport you to pre-WWII Germany, with songs of Kurt Weill and a powerful, inspiring regional premiere of a major work. Produced in collaboration with Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Ballet and Lyric Opera of Kansas City, this thought-provoking, ultimately uplifting musical drama is a soaring tribute to the strength of the human spirit. And we will cool you down with a summer concert saluting the Nifty Fifties. What could be more fabulous than 150 men singing the hits that defined the Beat Generation? We hope you’ll join us for the music, laughter and chills we have in store for you!

Start your yuletide on a high note with HMC, a jivin’ jazz band and Kansas City legend Marilyn Maye as we croon tunes to heat up the chilliest winter’s night. This Maye/December romance will get your holiday season in full swing!
This richly varied concert powerfully highlights the lives of gay men in Germany before and during the Nazi era, from the free-wheeling music of Kurt Weill and Kander and Ebb to Jake Heggie’s For a Look or a Touch, a poignant look at gay lovers torn apart by the Holocaust.
Return to an era when father knew best, Cadillacs had tail fins, and hula hoops were all the rage. You’ll rock around the clock to hits by Elvis Presley, Doris Day, Chuck Berry, Debbie Reynolds, Perry Como and Patti Page as HMC salutes the jukebox hits of the ‘50s.
