Dear Blog

I’m utterly shocked!!! Still fuming with anger

My master has always been strict with me and since I was a kitten, I was never allowed to climb on the furniture or the TV set. I was always sent on the balcony whenever I wanted to go to the loo and I was constantly told off if I scratched the carpet or hi-fi stereo with my paws. And I swear I did my very best to follow the rules.

But yesterday, my master opened the cage door and the two budgies came out, flying all over the living room. They scratched the furniture, flew on the TV set and the CD player. As if this was not enough, there were droppings all over the carpet and picture frames while the master’s newspaper was chewed to pieces by their beaks.

If I had done that, my master would have kicked me out. Instead of doing the same with the two birds, he burst into laughter and started taking photos.

I feel like eating them tonight!!! What should I do? I wish somebody could tell me what to do….

Tips and Hints

• Don’t inundate students with tools and apps

• Don’t hesitate to ask help from your students

• Don’t be afraid to admit that you don’t know sth technical

• Don’t panic if technology doesn’t work

• Use only 2-3 a year if you work with younger students

• Give learners time to explore the potential of the apps and tools

• Appoint teacher assistants (a different one every day)

• Have a plan B ready – just in case ;)

At the end of the day what counts is

NOT how many apps you have used in class but

how many learning goals have been achieved
