NEWSLETTER Go through wizard and erase all textboxes Make ONLY TWO columns no matter how

many columns the publication on the wizard uses.

Two pages and print front and back. No more than ½” between columns. The two columns should end on the same

line. Use leading if needed to change the spacing.

Heading only on the first page Do not use a table of contents with only two

pages.

NEWSLETTER CONTINUED Use the same heading styles on all headings. Follow

font, size, color, alignment, spacing, etc. Place pictures on the edge. You should never have

text around all four sides of a picture. Two sides are even better. Our eyes have to jump over the picture. The least our eyes have to jump the better.

One picture per article. If you use more pictures, you must get approval.

Pictures should be the right size. Don’t put pictures in an article just to take up space.

Pictures are to enhance the article so use relevant pictures.

Place pictures in the article where you are talking about it. If picture is not in article, put a caption below the picture.

NEWSLETTER CONTINUED Text should be no larger than 10 to 12 pts. using

Courier New. I am not saying to use Courier New. I am saying to use a font size no larger than Courier New size 10 to 12.

Use one inch margins all the way around. Use a San Serif, Serif, or Decorative font for the

heading Use a serif font for the body or the approved san

serif fonts. San serif approved fonts are Tahoma, Verdana, and Arial.

Use a font that is easy to read. Never use all caps or cursive writing in the body. All caps is acceptable for the heading main heading
