Department of the Navy (DON) - Symantec/VeritasEnterprise Software Licensing (ESL) Contract Overview

What is the Symantec/Veritas DON ESL?

The Department of Navy (DON) has entered into a Blanket Purchase Agreement with DLT on April 3, 2014 for Symantec/Veritas products under contract number N66001-14-A-0058 with DLT Solutions. The Agreement is comprised of two parts; a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and an Enterprise License Agreement (ELA). The BPA allows for the decentralized ordering of all Symantec/Veritas licenses and maintenance (except the Endpoint Encryption suite described in the ELA below). All BPA orders will be funded and executed at the individual commands. The ELA was awarded for the Symantec Endpoint Encryption suite of products. All DON organizations and program offices are mandated to use DON ESL Agreements to procure any Symantec/Veritas software licenses and annual maintenance, including products procured by Government purchase cards, unless a waiver is granted.

What is the term of the agreement?

The agreement is for one base year (with four one-year options). The base contract year runs through April 2, 2015 and the end of option year four of April 2, 2019.

Who can use it?

This agreement is available for use by the entire Department of the Navy community which includes headquarter, US Marine Corps, the entire operating forces of the US Navy and USMC, Reserve components of such forces; all field activities, headquarters, forces, bases, installations, activities and functions under the control or supervision of the Secretary of the Navy, and the US Coast Guard operation as a part of the Navy. Government contractors performing work for, or on behalf of the DON, if authorized by their contracting ocer, must provide a letter of authorization (LOA) from their applicable Government Contracting Ocer to use the contract.

What is provided under the Agreement?

The agreement includes all commercially available Veritas/Symantec software via Licenses, maintenance and support services in support of the warfighter. This includes, but is not limited to the following categories:
