What is Deforestation?

• Deforestation is the cutting down of the forest and it is destroying the animals habitat

past and present of deforestation

• In the past the world was covered with a lot of the forest covering it

• This is the present were deforestation has happened

Forest Fire • People don’t need to cut down the trees to do

deforestation because there are forest fire that do most of the work too

• The cause of forest fire is sometimes from the camp fire or lightning that hits the forest

Reason for cutting down forest • There some reason why people are cutting

down the forest like for money or people ‘s need for family

• The biggest reason is the agriculture from the farmers to plant their crops

• There organization that want to stop the deforestation like the Friends of the Earth, Rainforest Action Network, and the Environmental Defence Fund

Organizations Purpose

• The organizations purpose in wanting to stop the deforestation is mainly the forest animals that live in the forest because they wont have a place to stay or live

Effects on the Future

• In the future if deforestation keeps on going then the trees soil will be weak so the trees wont be strong, the bottom of the food chain will be gone

• Plus the forest and plants help us with the oxygen and without oxygen we wont live that long

Deforestation Solutions• One solution in deforestation is reforestation

were we help plant some new trees • Another way is maybe stop cutting down to

much trees in the forest • Last is maybe help the forest by not setting it

on fire and treat the trees with care
