Dear Nye Community,
I hope that all of you had the opportunity to enjoy some time with family and
friends around the Thanksgiving holiday. Now that we are back from break the
students are back in the swing of things here at school, and they are hard at
work in their classrooms. As always, I am very proud of the effort our students
put in each day.
There are a number of events coming up in December, such as the Santa Store
and Workshop on Saturday, December 3rd at 9:00 AM, PTO Dinner for Dollars
event on December 13 and the annual Holiday Concert on Wednesday, Decem-
ber 21st. The students always do an amazing job with their performances and I
am looking forward to seeing this year’s show!
During this busy time of year, we appreciate all of the effort you put in at home
to reinforce the fact that our students need to stay focused, complete their
homework, and come to school ready to do their best work! Thanks again for all
that you do.
Happy Holidays!

Congratulations to all of the students that
participated in the 14th Annual Academic Fair.
We would like to thank Mrs. Long and Mrs.
Lister for all of their hard work to make this
year’s academic fair a huge success. Both
Mrs. Long and Mrs. Lister give a lot of their
time to promote, coordinate and design our
fair. Thank you ladies for all the time you
spent planning and preparing our students and
for the time you put in setting up the displays
for our viewing. We also would like to thank

Have yourself a Wonderful Holiday!

Schools Closed
Holiday Program Response Sheet
Yes! I plan on attending the morning Holiday Program (9:30 am) at Nye on December 21st.
There will be a total of ___________ family members attending the morning program.
Student’s Name _____________________ Teacher’s Name ________________________
NOTE: This response sheet does not need to be returned to school if no one will be attending
the afternoon program. If returned, send in only one per family.
Holiday Program
The Nye Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in the
Nye cafetorium will be led by Mrs. Brosius, our vocal music teacher.
As always, our holiday program features 2nd grade students and 5th
grade students. We hope that the parents and families of these chil-
dren will be able to come and get into the holiday spirit with us on De-
cember 21st!
Limited public seating will be available at the 9:30 a.m. program.
Why are we issuing an invitation to parents for the morning program
on December 21st? We would like to spread the audience attendance
out over two programs so we can accommodate as many parents as
possible. We are hoping that a number of family members can come to
the 9:30 a.m. program instead of the evening program. Please com-
plete the attached response sheet and return to school before Decem-
ber 19th if you plan to attend the morning program. This will help us
know how many chairs to set up for the audience.
