DESIGN TIPS

1. AVOID CLASHING COLORS. Some colors don’t play well together. If it hurts your eyes, it hurts your client’s eyes.

Not working! Works!

2. DON’T USE THIS FONT IN REVERSE. Most serif fonts (Times New Roman, etc.) are

hard to read in reverse. It’s better to use sans-serif (Arial, etc.).

Can you see me now? Can you see me now?

Times New Roman 18pt Arial 18pt

3. WHO’S YOUR AUDIENCE? Most important focus? Is it interesting?

WHAT’S YOUR MESSAGE? Keep text and bullets simple

and to a minimum. Use bullets as guides to

the next point. Make it relevant to a problem

in the audience’s industry, if possible.

Use charts and graphs to illustrate your point.

Stay visible to create top of mind awareness (TOMA).

Outsource. If you don’t have time, hire a designer to create it.

Always market your business, even when you are busy.

4. DO YOU HAVE THE TIME?

Keeping my eye on your designs.
