1 We are entering a new work era.

Yes another one!!!

2 This new era of having five generations in the workplace means that solutions for attracting and retaining talent, rewards, communication, work life balance, learning and professional development, must evolve and evolve to all

2 Multiple solutions need to be created across these areas if the best talent is to be acquired, retained and leveraged in your business.

As business leaders we need to realise that,

What should you do to adapt?Be aware of the similarities and differences that exist for each generation in each of the core areas

Assume nothing and do not become a victim of generalisations stereotypes consciously and unconsciously within the organisation

Encourage each generation to learn about each other and to embrace the diversity in each generation

Consider how to begin to build an employer brand that is attractive to each of these generations.

What should you do to adapt?

Do you consider a multi-generational workforce to be an asset or a liability?

Will this multi-generational workplace feel happy and productive or challenging and stressful?

Know the composition of your workforce across each generation, including yourself

Communicate and proactively add this to you Diversity and inclusion strategy's.

.

Employees of all ages must understand the value differences, attitudes, mindset and preferences of the diverse generations, and organisations shouldwork to foster better communication between the generations to avoid potential conflict.

THANK YOU

25% of unpaid caregivers in the US are millennials

Millennials are earning 20 percent less than their parents did

The average student loan debts have doubled between the millennial and Gen X.

Despite their increased debt, millennials are well-educated on the benefits of retirement savings and they are saving at the same rate as their parents

Despite the steady uptick of freelancers they prefer the stability of having a traditional employer.

Counter to the stereotype that millennials are self-centred, they arguably represent the most charitable generation
