When looking at postmodern music many people often think of David Bowie as a prime example. Throughout his music career he has changed his image several times. In a decade he made 12 albums. These were short Albums only containing about 8 songs.

David Bowie (1970)

The Albums he made consist of; 'The man who sold the world'- This album cover raised issues as Bowie is dressed as a woman and in the 70's this was considered homosexual. Some also thought he was bisexual.

David Bowie (1971)

‘Hunky Dory’. As you can see from this Album cover, he had long hair. He kept this hair for a few years.

‘Ziggy Stardust’. For each Album Bowie seems to change his image to a ‘rock star’.

‘Pin Ups’. For this album he wanted to clear the decks and start fresh. So he made an album covering other stars songs.

‘Young Americans’. When making this Album he was in America. He therefore changed his image once again to a soul singer style. In 1975 he was also a drug addict.

David Bowie (1976)‘Station to Station’. In 1976 he went through a ‘funk’ phase. He was so addicted to cocaine that he became paranoid. He did crazy things like bottled his urine because he thought pixies were going to steal it.

David Bowie has done some pretty crazy things in his life, such as he has changed his image many times, he became a drug addict and he was snapped doing a Hitler pose. But yet, people/fans still love him and he is very successful.
