Agenda Item No.4: LETTER FROM KOZHIKODE MAYOR TO
ENGAGE KMRL FOR IIRBAN TRANSPORTPROJECT IN KOZHIKODE CORPORATION
The Hon. Mayor - Kozhikode, in his letter EG2ll694I6ll7 dated
19.12.2017, requested to engage KMRL for Urban Transport project inKozhikode, with centage fees as 5% of the approved project cost and
advance payment for the execution of work as 20oh of the contractorsproject cost. Therefore, the Kozhikode Corporation was requestingpermission to go ahead with signing the contract agreement with KMRLfollowed by DPR preparation and implementation of the project.
Decision:
SFIPSC approved the decision of engaging KMRL for the Urbantransport and Parks projects in the cities of Kochi and Kozhikode as perthe following:
1. Centage charges for end to end support, tobe 5Yo of the totalproject cost, as per G.O. 6112017 Ein dated 0910512017 .
2. Advance payment, to be 20o/o of the awarding project cost as
per G.O. 3IIlI4lFin dated 3010712014.
Action taken:The agreements in both cities have been executed and signed. Sri.Mohammed Hanish, I.A.S, Managing Director, KMRL vide letter No.KMRL/PRI/AMRUT/32012017 12717 dated 24.01.2018 .informed thatthe preparation of DPRs for the above projects will be completed by thefirst week of March 2018, ensuring that all entrusted projects will befinished within the SAAP duration.
