Principals Report
We enjoyed having Grade 6 Transition on Tuesday. Our youngest students have made a great first impression as they participated in a “normal” day classes in their groups for next year. We look forward to them joining our ASC family next year. We are incredibly thankful to all staff who took classes and gave our new Year 7s such a positive experience.
We have set the day for our rescheduled “Presentation Assembly” as Thursday 4th February. Letters will be emailed home to all awardees inviting families to attend in the first week of the New Year. Students are invited based on the number of subject “Personal Bests” and “Honours” they have achieved, which we have been collating this week. Students are also invited based on success and effort in all other areas of school life such as Music, Sport and Citizenship. This will be a great way to set the scene for a positive 2021.
End of year reports have been completed and will be emailed home on Wednesday 16th December. We hope that students use these to help plan and set their goals for the New Year.
Year 12s do not receive reports; instead they get their exam results, which will come out on the 30th December. On that day our Careers Coordinator, Felicity Wilmot, will make contact with all Year 12 VCE students to support them with their tertiary course preferences.

Indonesian Water Fountains Students in Year 8 Indonesian finished their year, by creating a model of a water fountain. The tranquil nature of wa-ter fountains is very popular in Indonesia. This two-tiered design was produced by Sammy Turner and Katy Cornell. Many thanks to Mr Corkhill and Shannon Draper for their assistance, including Mr Corkhill’s ordering of the battery
packs and submersible water pumps.
