The Theme of DanielNames are important in the Hebrew mind. I believe it is the same withthe country Nigeria. Every name given to a child is significant and wellthought out by parents. So it is with the Hebrew culture.

The saints are tested again, this time more severely. Beingfound faithful to the commandments of Yahweh, theyexperience His deliverance from a time of trouble, then aremade to prosper as the result of further promotion by the king.(Daniel 3:30)

The idolatrous king who defies the Creator of Heaven andEarth by his pride is warned and then debased. Withrepentance came restoration (Daniel 4:34) and return to thethrone. Here was a promise that God would bless even theheathen who acknowledged Him and give their heart to Him.

The hardest test comes to Daniel in his old age. He is found free fromtreason and ground for complaint except in connection with the lawof his God. This death threat also fails, and the prophet experiencesdeliverance from a night of trial. As a result, this Daniel prospered.

Daniel lacks understanding with regards to a critical matter regardingthe salvation of the world, prays and the greatest prophecy about theMessiah and Saviour is given in answer to his prayer.
