Heart
This case study that you hold in your hands is a very brief overview of a vision birthed in myheart over a period of 24 years. It is a vision shaped deep inside both Michelle and myself. God
gave us a love for the poor, for children, for people and for justice. It was no accident that Godbrought us togethera boy from Africa and a city girl from South Jersey.
He will not judge by what He sees with His eyes, or decide by what He hears with His ears;
but with righteousness He will judge the needy, with justice He will give decisions for the poor
of the earth. Isaiah 11: 3, 4
I know that the following pages will not answer all your questions. I know that these pages donot address all that the vision encompasses. It is a starta start in the same way that we findourselves standing in the open palm of Gods Hand feeling very inadequate and insignificant.
Empowered and encouraged by friends, family, Church and business leaders we are in themidst of the beginnings of a God birthed vision to see change come to Haiti.
Michelle and I do not have adequate words to convey our appreciation for the lovedemonstrated to us over the past years as we have continued to pursue this vision. We feelloved, trusted and supported. That being said we need a great deal of prayer but we also needmuch wisdom and counsel from you. We need to look to you for your valuable input, trustingthat you will be involved with us in this vision.
Truthfully, what we have undertaken is beyond our capabilities. However, the vision and itsimplementation, is not beyond the passion in our hearts to see what God will do in, through
and with us. We have committed ourselves to what Daniel so clearly states, the people whoknow their God shall stand firm and take action.Men and women who have lived wisely and
well will shine brilliantly, like the cloudless, star-strewn night skies. And those who put others
on the right path to life will glow like stars forever.Daniel 11:32 and 12:3As you consider the enclosed case study some of you will see ways you can help us. It may be

MissionTo establish in Haiti, a highly structured environment of
change, for girls and boys, for the purpose of preparing a
new generation of leaders passionate to establish the
Kingdom of God in Haiti.
Psalm 102:18This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may
praise the LORD.
To inspire a small collection of Caribbean children, in a strong, family oriented community to embrace
the call of God on their lives willing to pursue the skills and education it will take to transform their
country becoming a new generation of leadership developed to lead in business, agriculture,
government, education and social and spiritual dimensions.
Isaiah 51:5My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will
bring justice to the nations. Theislands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm.
God gave Daniel favor and compassion God gave them learning and skill in all literature and
wisdom, and Daniel had understanding none was found like Daniel .And in every matter of wisdom
and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all

than all the women, and she won grace and favor in his sight more than all the others Esther 2
When current leadership in Haiti is asked, What is needed to rebuild their nation? The answers come
back consistently:

If Haiti is ever going to rebuild itself, educating the next generation is vital. Like each of us, the
peoples of the island nations desire to build the pieces of societal infrastructure, they yearn for.

Strategy to realize the MissionThis school/community will initially be supported through donated funding supplied by partners. With
the aid of partners the hotel and the school/communitywill be built in Milot on 9.5 acres of land we
have been granted. With the aid of partners proceeds-based businesses, led by Haitian Nationals, will
be established which will support the entire mission so that it isself sustaining and not in need of acontinual flow of capital from North America, or outside sources.
Tactics to Accomplish the Strategy
1) Through media documentation and creative presentation the project will be presented to the
public in order to establish PARTNER relationships and the needed funding to financially
support all aspects of the DANIEL ESTHER PROJECT.
2) Leverage the Proceeds given by PARTNERS tobuild both the DANIEL ESTHER
SCHOOL/COMMUNITY LIVING FACILITIES and the GUEST HOUSE/BED & BREAKFAST COMPLEX
for international, well-paying visitors.
3) Use the recurring funds from the GUEST HOUSE/BED & BREAKFAST COMPLEX to FUND theongoing activities of the SCHOOL/COMMUNITY LIVING FACILITIESfor the Daniel Esther
Project.
4) With partnership involved assist in establishing PROCEED and PROFIT BASED BUSINESSES, such
as PERL 1* and JIMMI PLACE *.
PERL 1, a plastics recycling business, once established, will collect the raw plastic waste from the
Haitian streets, process it, and ship it to recycling plants in the US or other locations for distribution.
JIMMI PLACE, a construction development corporation specializing in very small permanent homes
that once built will be sold affordably to the public.
*PERL 1= Plastics Environmental Recycling Logistics 1 - #1 is the number ID number for clear plastic bottles}
*JIMMI, in Mende, the language of Sierra Leone, West Africa, JIMMI means a place where people sleep. The two
founders of this town were celebrated hunters in the area. One day, they decided to have a permanent home. As
they set off in separate directions, one of them called to his companion: "Come, come,jimaa bei,"meaning, "There
is a sleeping place here."

History and Previous Timeline1994 A friend Jean Baptiste Gueracaque invited me to travel to Haiti. I went. I came home
overwhelmed by the depth of poverty and the struggle of the people. Jean gave me a word prior to
coming home, telling me that I would wake up in the middle of the night crying. That indeed happened.
I have lived in Africa, the Middle East and the US. No other country, no other people and no otherculture has made an impact on my life like Haiti. It seems that from the very beginning, God began to stir
something in my heart for the Island once known as the Pearl of the Antilles.
1997- Vision expands to all of Caribbean, but the message is clear and confirmed, it will start in Haiti.
1999- It becomes evident that the children and the business leaders of Haiti are the heart of the project.
Different options are pursued.
2002- I continued to travel to Haiti usually once a quarter. During this period of time, we did many
ministry trips and many crusades. We sent containers of food and clothing. We paid to send young
people to school. We paid for housing for homeless mothers. Purchased food and bedding for orphans
and monetarily supported several churches and schools. We supported men and women studying for
the ministry and paid for travel expenses for individuals from the States to experience Haiti. We prayed
for the sick in hospitals and preached and taught the Word. It was during this period while living in
Columbia South Carolina that I became involved in Blood and Fire Ministries, a ministry that serves the
homeless and broken of the cities of the world. During these years and the years leading up to 2002 I
received many prophetic words concerning a school, children being taught and nations being impacted.
2007- On a trip to Jacmel in the South of Haiti the vision became clearer. At a guest house in Jacmel I seea set of scales once used to weigh bags of rice. I am reminded of a word from 1987.I hold the outcome
of the scales in My hands. I am a God of justice. Justice is in my hands. I begin to write out the plans
for the Daniel Esther Project. 2010 November We meet with the Community of Milot, the Senator of
the district and the local mayor of the town of Milot. They make a decision to donate 2 carreaux of (6
acres) of land for the DANIEL ESTHER PROJECT. 2011 March - The mayor requests additional land. 2011
September three carreaux (9.5 acres) of land is granted for the building of the school project.

City of Cap Haitien
Cap-Hatien (Okap or Kapayisyen in Kryl) is a city of about 390,000 people on the north coast of Haiti.Previously, named as Cap-Franais and Cap-Henri, it was an important city during the colonial period
and was the first capital of the Kingdom of Northern Haiti under King Henri Christophe.
Economy
Cap-Hatien is known as the nation's largest center of Historic monuments and Tourism Finance. From its
calm water and picturesque Caribbean beaches, to its Citadelle Laferiere one of the Great Wonders of
the World have made it a resort and vacation destination for Hati's upper classes, comparable to
Ptionville. Cap-Hatien has, in general, also seen greater foreign tourist activity than much of Haiti, due
to its isolation from political instability. Cap-Hatien is also unique for its French colonial architecture,
which has been uniquely well preserved. After the Haitian Revolution, many craftsmen from Cap-Hatienfled to French-controlled New Orleans, as a result, the two cities share many similarities in styles of
architecture. Especially notable are the many gingerbread houses lining the city's older streets.
Earthquake Impact
In the wake of the 2010 Haiti earthquake which destroyed port facilities in Port-au-Prince, Cap-Hatien's
container port was being used to deliver relief supplies.

Since the city in general was not as affected in its infrastructure as Port-au-Prince, former Port-au-Prince
businessmen and many people have moved and continue to move to Cap Haitian.
Education in Cap Haitien
Education is a business in Cap Haitien and there are many Private Schools.
Existing Higher Education in Cap-Haitian
Unions of 4 Congregational Church Private Schools have been present for two decades in Cap-Haitien.
They are considered as establishments of higher education, the mainstream framework of the Public
school system. Also known as cole Normale Suprieure outside, the term is most commonly used to
refer to Academic Excellence, Selectivity in Admissions, and Social Elitism.

Town of Milot
Milot a town in the Nord Department ofHaiti is located12 miles southwest ofCap Haitien.
It is the site of theSans-Souci Palace, one of Haiti's most revered landmarks.
Five miles (8 km) by road to the south is the fortress Citadelle Laferrire , Haiti's most well-known
landmark.

In July 2010, the leadership of the town of Milot, led by Mayor Nica, approached us concerning a piece
of property in the community of Milot. At the end of October beginning of November 2010 we
traveled to Milot and had three meetings. We met with Mayor Nica, we then met with about sixty
community members and finally we met with the Senator Moise Jean-Charles responsible for the
North of Haiti. We looked at a piece of property. In September 2011 we were instructed to begin
building on 3 carreaux (9.56 acres) of land in Milot.

The Biggest Question
Where will the children come from?
Who will they be?The United Nations Childrens Fund in 2007 estimated 380000 children aged 0-17
were orphans due to all causes. It is guessed conservatively that the earthquake
produced another 50000. Some estimates say there are more than five hundred
thousand children living without parents in Haiti. 50% of the population is under the
age of 21. Hurricanes, Disease and the Earthquake have contributed to this calamity.
In Cap Haitian there are orphan street children known as Sanguine (soulless).
An increase in sexual violence and rape in the tent camps following the earthquake
in Port au Prince has seen a minimum of 1800 rapes over the last 12 months.
The DANIEL ESTHER PROJECT will seek to enroll the Sanguine orphans from Cap
Haitian, children from cases of rape in Port au Prince as well as children of officials
from the community of Milot and creative children from Jacmel, the center of
creative art in the South of Haiti. The mothers of the rape cases as well as immediatefamily members related to others of the children will be invited to become part of
the DANIEL ESTHER COMMUNITY.

Education and the Daniel Esther Project
The Educational System is to be patterned as follows:-
Preparation of Facilities
With input from educational professionals involved and with contact and input from the Ministry
of Education in Haiti we will gather the educational materials recommended for a school of
excellence.
The facilities will be evaluated in light of their intended purpose by the educational consultants
and outfitted accordingly and living quarters for the maximum 36 pupils (18 girls and 18 boys) will
be furnished appropriately.

Preparation of Curriculum
Since this school will be as much a home as a place of learning, the children, and the families
involved with each child, the leadership and the joys and challenges of Haiti will determine how to
implement a lifestyle of relationship incorporating all the facets of preparing young men and
women to grow in wisdom, stature and favor with God and men.
The Pupils
Ages: 4/5-year-olds to 17/18-year-olds
Number: 36-40 (18-20 girls and 18-20 boys)
Form: boarding/home
Family Life: Pupils with no family will live year-round at the facility, it becoming their home,
although they will also be connected with local families in Milot, Cap Haitian and surrounding
areas, families wanting to participate in the childrens lives. For those with families, family
participation is critical. Sponsorship: Each child will be sponsored by either local or international
sponsors who have committed to understanding the childs specific needs.
Year One: Interviewing and evaluating each applicant, their family and background are thus
givens. The first year a child spends at the school will be for this purpose. Pupils will then be
paired with families who can nurture and encourage them in their areas of interest and gifting.
Sport: Although not the focus of their education, playing on the schools soccer teams will be
encouraged.
The schooling each child will receive as part of the Daniel Esther Community will be composed
utilizing individualized educational plans and goals. These plans will be developed after an
extensive evaluation of each student and his/her educational needs has been completed. The
plans will include the study of necessary subject matter with an emphasis on each students
specific learning style and his/her various gifts, talents, and abilities. Each student will be
taught using the newest technologies and teaching strategies.
In order to ensure that each student has everything that he/she needs to be successful in
his/her specific area of study, the staff and leadership of the Daniel Esther Community will
work with outside consultants and experts from around the world and from all walks of life.
These consultants will help to guide the staff in their teaching of each student according to
his/her gifts, talents, and abilities. By using the outside consultants the staff can better
ensure that each child will be as prepared as possible to become effective leaders in their
communities.
Each student will enter into the Daniel Esther Community at the age of four or five. They will
remain in the community until they have successfully completed the program and are ready to
be effective leaders in the nation. The families will be invited to stay in the Daniel Esther
Community with the children. The parents will be offered a job and housing. The maximum
capacity of the Daniel Esther Community would be 40 children and 40 single parents.

Daniel Esther Project: Student Based Curriculum
Profile: Student A (EXAMPLE STUDENT AND SUBJECT)
Subject: English
Student A is 5 years old. He is gifted in the area of art. His primary learning style is bodily kinesthetic.
Kinesthetic learners learn by doing. In order to make sure Student A is successful, instruction should be
done in a way that is hands on and involves movement with an emphasis in art.
A note to teachers:
Kinesthetic learners can be fidgety. Make sure activities vary, include role playing and field trips if
possible, and give Student A time to stretch if he becomes restless.
Background Information:
Student A does not have any experience in the subject of English. No one in the household speaks or
writes English.
Creating Curriculum for Student A:

The Goal
Impart the value of excellence to 36 to 40 young people, with the ability to excel above their
peers not only academically but in integrity, humility, fortitude, leadership, honor, patience,
and wisdom.Instruct these students in civics and the rule of law, languages and the creative arts,
business, commerce, banking trade and marketing, agricultural and aquaculture, history,
theology, doctrine, mission and democracy.
Establish young people who comprehend and relate to the needs of their own people and
their land.
Inspire these young people to give of their lives to see a new kingdom of responsibility and
disciplined justice established within Haiti.
The Dual Purpose
1. Establish a school, kindergarten through 14th grade.
2. Operate a guest house/bed & breakfast (with business enterprises) to support the school,
and use as a teaching tool to train students in business, apprentice-ship programs, technical,
management and leadership skills.
Ultimate Goal
The Project will be deemed a success if each child has grown in wisdom, favor and stature
with God and men.
The Project will be deemed a success if each child upon completion of their schooling has
determined within himself that all men are to be loved, respected, honored and held up tothe highest standard possible and that their lives are a demonstration of these precepts.
The Project will be deemed a success if each child is in a place of leadership within the
Nation of Haiti.
The project will be deemed a success if businesses of excellence for profit and national and
global impact have been established and can measure success monetarily, environmentally
and there is a marked difference in human resource development.
The Project will be deemed a success if each child and each of the participants in the project
at the end of their lives can look back and see that God has accomplished the changing of a
nation and they were a part of the change.
We will know the project was a success if the children have become Kingdom Power
Brokers they understand the Kingdom and have brokered change in the nation of Haiti
through the Power of God.

The Ring and the Road
It was late November early December 2007 I had not been to Haiti since September 2002.Through a series of unexpected events I found myself back at Walls guest house in Port au
Prince 10 days earlier than planned. Four days earlier in this guest house on my way to CapHaitian in the north of Haiti, I had talked with Marc, a French man working with a NGO in Haiti.
Now as I waited for Jude to get a vehicle so we could go to Jacmel, Marc approached me. I
want to tell you a story he said, he went on, I was in Afghanistan a few years ago. I was in themountains. One day I observed the villagers from a village on the other side of a mountainrange trying to bring a dying, little old lady on a stretcher from their village to the hospital inour village. There was no road and only a narrow path along the side of the river gorge. Hecalled it a canyon along the river. The lady was dying as the men struggled to carry her on the
narrow path. I was overwhelmed with concern and knew something must be done.

Marc continued, I asked God what to do and he instructed me on how to build a road throughthe canyon. The NGO I worked with had enough money for me to pay 500 men for 21 days. Idivided the men up into groups of 100 with 25 leaders. Each group would work on one sectionof road. We built large rectangular cages from wire and rebar which we then filled with brokenrock. When we ran out of dynamite we sent men to buy missiles from the Taliban, that youAmericans have left everywhere. We cut the missiles apart and used the explosives to createadditional crushed stone and to cut the roadway through the canyon. Each team worked tocreate a huge step of steel rebar and crushed stone. At the end of each day the men would goto a platform they had built at the upper end of the road to pray to Allah. No one knew if wewould finish the road in the 21 days but on that last day I knew it was complete. I walked up thenew road telling each group of men you are done we have completed the project. I, thenfeeling much like Moses, with hands up, stood on that platform and began to clap. The menbegan to cheer and laugh, and everyone was very excited that we had completed the project.The road was done. We had completed impossibility
And that was the end of the story or so I thought. Marc got up and left and I went off to thesouth of Haiti. It was in the south of Haiti, in Jacmel that the vision for this project was birthed.But that is another story somewhat detailed in the pages you have just read. I returned to theguest house a week later, excited and ready to move forward with this vision. Marc followedme to my room. He pulled from his pocket a ring, a large silver ring with a dark blue stone withflecks of gold in it. He thrust it forward into my hand and said, Never forget the story of thecanyon! I stood amazed as I began to understand what God was trying to tell me.
Several months later I was again at the guest house with my friend Peter from South Africa.Peter asked Marc if the blue stone in the ring was a Lapis Lazuli to which Marc replied it was but
how did Peter know. Peters response to Marc was, Marc, the thronewhere the glory of God is
talked of in the book of Ezekiel is carved from Lapis Lazuli. Ezekiel 1: 26
So why this story, what does it mean? It is time to build a road through the narrow, rough, hardplace in the heart of Haiti. We are just one team of the road building team. We have a plan. Wehave been instructed on how to do what we need to do as our part in Haiti. Others work ontheir sections of the road and one day we will all be finished. On that day, the day we finish Ibelieve we will see the Lord standing on the platform saying, You did it, you did well, and you
all did well. You succeeded in completing what I asked you to do because nothing wasimpossible with ME.

Funding needs as of December 2011. Estimated total needed for next 12 months -$186727.00*
What is listed below is just a partial list of items needing immediate funding
$5000.00 For the yearly rental of a house for children and house parents.
Funds are needed in the amount of $3500.00 plus expenses for establishing NGO status (Non-
Governmental Organization) in Haiti. These are fees to be paid to the Haitian law firm that will handle
the acquisition of all documentation for the Daniel Esther Project.
Funds in the amount of$2700.00 are needed for costs associated with the acquisition of surveys and
land deeds for the land being donated to the Daniel Esther Project.
$15000.00 is needed to pay for and ship from the USA to Haiti a 120 KW generator. (We must have this
as there is no provided electricity in the area.)
Engineering and soil testing.
Well and septic system.
A security wall surrounding the area that is to be built.
Travel expenses for 6 trips planned over the next 12 months including travel for interpreter/security is
$9000.00 These trips will enable us to create the paperwork for the NGO and begin the building
processes.
