T he Kelowna Yacht Club(KYC) and the CentralOkanagan Sailing Association

(COSA) are proud to host the 2007CYA Women’s National KeelboatChampionship, which will takeplace in Kelowna, British Columbia,Canada, September 21-23, 2007.Newcomers to keelboat sailing, as wellas those who consider themselves oldhands, can take advantage of thetraining opportunities provided at theone-day Canadian Yachting Assoc.training camp, which will precede thechampionship, September 21, 2007.

Registration is expected to include20 women’s teams, who will sail a 2-day series in Santana 525s. Check thewebsite for the Notice of Race and forcharter boat information.

The 2007 CYA Women’s NationalKeelboat Championship will benefitthe NOW CANADA Society, anorganization that provides support forfemale youth who have been victims ofexploitation. The races will be sailed

from the Kelowna Yacht Club, anactive racing and pleasure sailing club,and home of the world’s largest fleet ofSantana 525s. KYC annually hosts theSantana 525 Nationals. The ClassAssociation website is as follows:http://www.angelfire.com/tn/santana525
