I am looking to further establish my skills in graphic design. I want to gain more knowledge and experience so I can expand my repertoire and work for a more diverse range of clients.

WORK OVERVIEW

I had a multifaceted role with ON DUTY to launch the magazine and company this year and provide follow-up issues.

I was tasked to use my extensive photography and lighting skills to build up the magazine’s image database for current and future issues.

I built on my sound knowledge base of design, layout and pre-press skills with InDesign.

My skill in illustration and proficiency in Illustrator was used for both the magazine and website.

It was required of me to build external relationships with government agencies and personnel, companies and organisations, as well as prominent individuals.

I developed my research abilities for both the writing of articles and image sourcing or direction.

2005 to nowProfessional Photographer and Image-Retoucher

Over the past 7 years I have worked professionally for events & weddings; freelancing for Men’s Fitness Magazine and ON DUTY Magazine; and pre-wedding, baby and model/personal portraiture.

I developed my ability to work as an individual for projects with a deadline and with a time-sensitive nature.

My creative abilities in design and illustration were utilized for projects such as invitations, photo-books and covers.

At PwC I was able to develop an extensive knowledge of file creation, management and archiving; forming the habit of paying attention to detail was crucial.

I was required to build in-house relationships with clients to make their database and file management systems more efficient.

I was responsible for editing and retouching the cover images used for Issues 1, 2 & 3.

For this image, the two officers in the rear were brought in closer together behind the man on point and a shallow depth of field was imitated. As well, the background was closed in to make the passageway look much narrower.
