“I launched my jade collection in a continuation of my mission to make

the traditional cultural icon more accessible. I wanted to continue the

jade theme for 2011 and thus responded with pushing the design

envelope further – this time with leafy vine themes in line with the

United Nation’s International Year of Forests.” - Choo Yilin.

” Since you last featured me, I guess I’ve made some decent progress

… haha. I have been part of numerous exhibitions and art fairs, both

local and abroad. I have been featured on the news and in magazines,

and I have also managed to bag some awards. Overall, my paintings

have been well received, and I sold most of them.“ - Khairullah Rahim.

“We are currently working on an online boutique, which provides semi

custom made service. Customers will have to choose from fifty

designs, nine fabric colors, nine thread colors, and of course, the size.

The launch is scheduled for 29 February.” – Terry Yeo.

“I’ve been trying to escape the brutal 9-to-5, roamin' the gloamin'

whenever I can. In late 2010, I spent a month backpacking through

London and Scotland - painted a mural for the Edinburgh international

art fest, shared inks and sketchbooks with traveling artists from around

the world. Last December, I rode my motorcycle to Northern Thailand

and back - clocking the best 7000 km of my life, filled with bizarre and

beautiful people and places. Chasing down new horizons keeps my

sense of wonder thrillingly alive; keeps the art fresh and inspired.“ –

“Eric & I had been talking about working on projects together for some

time. I really liked and admired the stuff he was putting out, so when

the chance to collaborate with each other came up, we were stoked.

Our friends from Sixx asked us individually to create some artwork for

them, and we thought it would be awesome to work on a piece

together. We are really happy with how things turned out, so expect

more from us!” – Kristal Melson.

“Since my solo in 2009 with the ‘Boxed Series’ which you featured on

Culturepush, the work has traveled to Laos for the 2nd international

Image Biennale 2010. My work focus also shifted to installations

revolving around light. My ‘Camera Obscura (2011)’ Videologue was on

display at the Beijing Sunshine International Museum. I was also

invited to participate in the 2011 M1 Singapore Fringe Festival with my

work ‘Void: Utopia’, and my ’Christmas Tree’ installation was on show

at the Art Science Museum.” – Lim Shengen.

“My latest project would be the “Kuih-muih Lucky Charm”, which was

shown at Cutlog Paris and at Open House Occupy in Tiong Baru. I also

started a new series just for fun. It's called Sadako's Unfashionable

Fashion Diary which is not really about fashion. I hope to achieve at

least 100 posts in the blog. As an extension to this project, I have

collaborated with another creative –Mo- on a project called “Piratable

Narcissism”. Mo created a series of multi-functional scarves and got

Sadako to model them. The project was featured on

designyoutrust.com. Anyways, these are just some spontaneous, fun,

random projects ... I hope you like them.“ – Sokkuan Tye.
