Cooking for fire fighters

Object of the project

The point of this project was to cook home made meals for the fire fighters that don’t receive that as much because of their responsibility in taking care of their community.

Organization

Fire Station 6 in Toledo.

What we did

A group of us decided to cook for the fire fighters.

Some cooked the main meal.Me, Carla, and Dai’ja baked

desserts.

What did I learn

I learned how much people will appreciate the smallest things such as a cookie because they don’t always get that thanks from people they help every single day.

Talking with the fire fighters I also learned that every one of them loved their job even though they have to make some sacrifices.

Utilizing critical thinking

We had to use critical thinking when it came to thinking about how much the fire fighters have to go through and the things they have to give up.

I was able to open my eyes and appreciate certain things more because just a home cooked meal could make their day.

Conclusion to our service

Over all I really liked this project because it was something simply that meant more than you think.

Shows how much people care about the small things and I would definitely like to do this again.
