Creating a blog on Tumblr

Signing Up• To be able to post on Tumblr

you must sign up.• Go to http://www.tumblr.com/ • The Page will look like this • Go ahead and enter in your

email and password in the required fields. For the Url field, you can type in anything you want it can be creative or something simple like your name.

• Then go ahead and click start posting.

• After you have clicked Start Posting, you will now be on this page where you have to enter a Captcha code.

• After the Captcha is entered, click on “I’m human!”

• The next page that will load looks like this.

• Now you are ready to create your first post. Go ahead and click Text.

How to post text• To add text simply click

in the Post box and start typing what you want.

• After you are done click “create post”

How to post images• To post images that are

on your computer simply click browse and find your image.

• If you have a link to and image online click “Use a URL instead” link, and paste in the url.

• After your image is selected you can write a caption of the image.

• When you’re done click “create post”

•With the other types of post it follows similar steps. As stated previously.

Customizing Your Blog• After you have done your

first post, this dialogue will pop up.

• Simply type the title of your blog into the required space and upload a portrait of yourself if you want

• Then click on Show all appearance options.

Adding a theme • After you click on show all

appearance options, click on the themes tab

• Then click on browse more themes.

• Then you will be directed to this page.

• When you have found the theme you like click on install

• Now you are finished with setting up your blog!
