•Welcome to ‘Create Your Own Personalized Opt-in Button’ to build your subscriber list, get registrants to workshops, or other call-to-action (CTA).

CREATING WITH POWERPOINT• PowerPoint is amazing and

has many of the same features as Word, and then some.

• You can use its Insert function to create lots of cool stuff.

• In this presentation we’ll create a clickable opt-in JPG image that you can upload to your website.

EXAMPLES

• The following slides are examples, some less rough than others, of what you can do with Microsoft PowerPoint.

• The instructions following the examples are based on the first two examples below.

This is another way I create opt-ins –the explanation is on the next slide.

Explanation of Previous Slide • For the previous slide, I wanted a

special background. So, I used Logo Creator to create one and saved an image (JPG) of the background.

• Then I uploaded it into the slide.

• Next I added text and a box for the “Start Today – CLICK HERE.”

• Then I used Snipping Tool, a free screenshot clipping tool, and cut the image to the size I wanted.

• I saved it as a JPG for an opt-in to a Workshop.

16 Steps to a Unique Opt-in Button That You Can Link to Your Landing Page

• To begin, open a new PowerPoint Document.

• Note: All the images [opt-ins] in this PPP can be done with the following instructions.

Create the First Shape

• 1. Home: New Slide: Layout: Blank

• 2. Insert: Shapes: Rectangles: Rounded Rectangle

• 3. Home: Shape Fill: Choose color for first rectangle - see example

Create the Second Shape

• 4. Insert: Shapes (for second shape): Block Arrows: Down

• 5. Home: Shape Fill: Choose color for second shape

• 6. Insert: Text Box – Type content in second shape

• 7. Home: Choose color, font, and size of text -

see example

Create the Third Shape

• 8. Insert: Shapes: Rectangles: Rounded Rectangle (for third shape)

• 9. Home: Shape Fill: choose color for third shape

• 10. Insert: Text Box – Type content in third shape

• 11. Home: Choose color, font, and size of text -

Insert an Image

•12. Insert: Picture, Clipart, or other – Choose an image to include

Time to Copy and Save

• 13. Once you have the opt-in button how you want it, Click on Prt Sc (Print Screen)

• 14. Copy the image and paste it into Paint: Crop it and save it as a JPG

Or, you can use a free program like Snipping Tool to copy and paste.

Finished Product

Use it on Your Website

• 15. Upload the Opt-in JPG into your website’s Media area – be sure to optimize it.

• 16. Insert the JPG into a post and/or your website sidebar – be sure to link it to the landing page of your choice.

• Some of these creations are a bit crude, but they’re perfect for examples of how this is done.
