Introduction

What’s Corrosion? It’s the spontaneous destruction of material as a

result of interaction with the surrounding environment.

Corrosion causes many negative effects on our daily life;

bridges may collapse, cars may lose control and pipes may leak and lose carrying capacity.

The Economical impact in Qatar:

Oil and gas constitute one of the most important industries in Qatar and corrosion presents a big challenge to them so it is very important to control the corrosion process to reduce the economic loss.

Conclusion

Aminotriazole thiol is a highly efficient green inhibitor for carbon steel specially at concentration higher than 0.5x10-3 M.

Aminotriazole thiol inhibition takes place via chemical adsorption on steel surface as revealed from EDX analysis.
