HOSPITAITY
If our hospitality is genuine, we will share the best we
have to offer. We will give of our time, and we will
do what we can to meet the needs of others who come
to us. Perhaps one of the greatest challenges we face
today is finding the right balance between the tasks we
have to accomplish and the needs of the people we
serve. Take a look at Martha and Mary in the Gospel
this weekend. Martha was busy with preparing a nice
meal, but her complaint showed she was more
concerned about her duties than her guest. With all
the responsibilities we carry today, it is so easy to lose
sight of the people involved in our lives. How
hospitable are we to the people who come to us? It
could be the person on the street who asks for
directions, or the one who comes to our place of work
seeking the services we provide. It may be the friend
who comes to dinner or the co-worker who acts in a
way we did not expect. It may be a new-comer to our
parish. God places people in our hospitality paths in
unexpected ways, and we are called to have an open
attitude of hospitality if we are to receive the blessings
that may come with such visits. Be surprised today by
someone who needs you!
CATHOLIC APPEAL
We have offered our gift of $136,644 toward our goal
of $133,261. There are 55 parishes in our diocese.
Corpus Christi Parish is among the 9 parishes not only
to meet its goal for Catholic Appeal 2016 but to
exceed it. Thank you to all who have contributed! It
is a gift to share what we have received as gift with
those in need! I hold the generosity of our parishioners
in grateful prayer!

words of greeting help to create a welcoming
atmosphere in our churches.
My dear friends,
I am amazed at how time flies. Three years have
passed since I first came to Corpus Christi Parish in
Waterville. I was fortunate enough to be part of this
great community. I fell in love with the parish
immediately because of the dedicated and committed
parishioners. I could see from the start that the people
here are very friendly strong in their faith and desire
to serve God and one another. As I reflect on these
three years during which I have served as your
parochial vicar, my heart is over flowing with
gratitude for the gift you have been to me in my
priesthood and for your kindness…a big thanks! My
address is Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus Street,
Lewiston, Me 04240.

The Presence Radio Network
Week of Sunday, July 17, 2016
Fr. James Nadeau has
prepared a series based on
Jesus’ messages to St. Faustina:
SPIRITUAL WARFARE: 25 SECRETS
In Cracow, Poland, June 2, 1938, the Lord Jesus
directed a young Polish Sister of Mercy on a three
day retreat. Sr. Faustina painstakingly recorded
Christ’s instruction in her diary that is a mystical
manual on prayer and Divine Mercy. Jesus began,
“My daughter, I want to teach you about spiritual
warfare…..” (1760 in Divine Mercy in my Soul).
