2010 a report is made to Cheshire

Police of an RTC. A single vehicle

has left the A51 Nantwich Road,

Burford and has gone through a

fence, there is wood all over the

road. The only occupant in the car

(the driver) is trapped and appears

unconscious. Fire, Police and

Ambulance required at the scene

22:55 hrs – Arrival of first

patrol

“This is a fatal collision, can I

have road closures at the junction

of the A534 south of the scene and

at the junction of the A41 north

of the scene and an S.I.O. to the

scene please?”

SIO Policy Decision – “The driver of the

car is believed to be named Matthew

Wilson. An FLO has been allocated to

trace his family and inform them of this

collision.”

“In order to achieve best evidence from

the scene, the fire service have agreed

to withdraw for now and to return in

approximately 1 hr to remove Matthew

from the car. In due course we will

require an undertaker to the scene to

transport Matthew to hospital.”
