Core Skills Mastery (CSM)

Core Skills Mastery (CSM) is a free web-based,

adaptive course that can be used on its own or as a supplement to an existing class to prepare students for success in high school and beyond.

CSM builds and deepens

core math and

literacy skills and ties these skills to real-world problem solving.

Who is CSM for?

CSM is appropriate for learners in a variety of contexts from middle school on up through college, workforce development, and corporate training.

CSM asks students

questions that are in their zone

of proximal development and

moves them through the CSM curriculum based

on their responses.

CSM provides immediate feedback to students after they answer questions.

When a student answers a question(s) incorrectly, lessons focused on the concept(s) and/or problem solving are provided,

and then they are given the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding with a new problem.

Students earn karate belts as the demonstrate mastery of content.

Students and teachers can track their progress on their home page.

Teachers get instant updates on student activity.

Teachers can view data on progress, effort, reading habits, completion, and more.
