WHO WE ARE
A LETTER FROM THE
PRESIDENT
Dear Friend,
Charis Bible College is a modern-day miracle. On June 23, 1993, I clearly heard from the Lord to start a Bible college. There couldn’t have been anything further from my mind, but God downloaded a revolutionary way to do it. I was to take 2 Timothy 2:2—“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also”—and use it as a framework for a school that would do more than just impart biblical knowledge. This school would also provide practical, on-the-job training to prepare students for their next step.
The truth is, everyone goes through school. It’s just a matter of whether it’s a safe environment with experienced instructors and mentors or what’s called the “school of hard knocks.” I took the latter route. And I tell you, if you survive, it makes a great testimony. But you’re not guaranteed success that way.
Most people die with unrealized potential. That doesn’t have to be you. You don’t have to settle for whatever comes your way. You can lay a sure foundation through Charis Bible College, where instructors with decades of experience equip you to succeed. For over twenty years, Charis has been training and empowering people to do what they were born for. And if you don’t know what you were born for, I’m believing that you will by the time you graduate. I’m also believing, more importantly, that you’ll be prepared to step into your God-given destiny.
If the Lord is speaking to you about attending Charis, visit our website for more information. I guarantee it will change your life and the lives of others forever.
Remember, preparation time is never wasted time.
Andrew Wommack
Hello Beloved,
We have had the privilege to see Charis at work in so many lives all over the world. It does not matter what culture you are from, what your past looks like, or what your plans are for the future; Charis is a vital part of any Christian’s growth in discovering their calling and destiny. We know that it will be a life changing experience for all that come! Carrie and I believe that besides your relationship with God, discovering your calling is one of the most important things any one of us can ever do. When you make the Word of God the priority in your life, you open yourself up to hearing His voice clearly, discovering who you are in Him and who He is in you. This will naturally empower you to step out beyond the limitations you have put upon yourself, and discover the greatness God has called you to. This is exactly what Charis provides for our students. It creates an atmosphere for growth and transformation according to the Word of God, and encourages all to boldly take the steps the Lord is leading you to in your life. There are so many promises in the Word of God. Promises God intended His children to live by, and to find victory within. We would like to invite you to discover what those promises are, and allow them to be your foundation for stepping into what the Lord has called you to as your destiny! As you walk in the plan He has for you, you will walk in the satisfaction and fulfillment the Lord has planned for you. We look forward to seeing you soon! Blessings, Mike and Carrie Pickett
A LETTER FROM THE
VICE PRESIDENTS
A LETTER FROM THE
DIRECTOR
Dear Fellow Champion in Christ,
Scores of people, like yourself, are drawn to Charis. They come because they’ve heard Andrew teach at a conference, were given a CD or DVD, or stumbled upon him on television or radio. However, once the Gospel of grace and God’s unconditional love take root in their hearts, then a hunger to grow in knowledge and understanding of the Word is produced. Like you, they begin to search for their God-given destiny and purpose. The “Charis experience” is designed to do that. At Charis, you’ll study with people of all ages, from all walks of life, and from different parts of the world. But each student has a passion for the truth and for accomplishing something meaningful with his or her life. Charis Bible College is a premier Bible college designed to help you discover your destiny and equip you to fulfill it. You will:
There is a place awaiting you at Charis Bible College! Great grace is yours, Greg Mohr
• Experience worship that cultivates your intimacy with Jesus and an ability to hear His voice.
• Build lifelong connections with other students who will encourage and sharpen your faith.
• Be taught by instructors with proven ministry experience and powerful revelation of the Word.
• Have training opportunities to do the works of Jesus and develop the skills necessary to fulfill His call on your life.
In the first-year program, you prepare your heart by building a solid foundation in the Word of God. Courses include Relationship with God, Basics of Righteousness, Introduction to the Bible, Fruit of the Spirit, and many others ready to help you become rooted and grounded in the truth of the Gospel.
In addition to daily classes, you are required to apply what you learn by volunteering twenty-five hours per term at local ministries and churches. You are encouraged to step out into ministry and, in doing so, learn how to operate as the body of Christ.
At the end of the year, you will receive a Certificate of Completion and become eligible for the second-year program.
FIRST YEAR
During the second year, the focus shifts to practical ministry. Courses include New Testament Survey, Principles of Godly Leadership, Acts: Power for Supernatural Living, Establishing a Prosperous Soul, and many more. In addition, you engage in Interactive Groups (IAGs)—small workshops designed to help you fine-tune and develop skills such as teaching, public speaking, sacerdotal duties, leading prayer, and more.
You are also required to go on a foreign missions trip. Students raise funds for their trips through letter writing and through volunteer points earned during events and Healing School. Learning to work as part of a small missions team and preparing skits and teachings all become practical training ground as you take the Gospel of Christ to the nations of the world.
Upon graduating from the second-year program, you will receive a diploma or degree in Biblical Studies and a Ministry License from Charis Bible College. You are then eligible to apply for the Third-Year Program.
