CONTRIBUTIONS BY SCHOOLS FOR THE UNESCO NOMINATION OF HAWKER CULTURE IN SINGAPORE

In November 2018, students from St Gabriel’s Primary School dressed up as hawkers from yesteryear to engage visitors at the Our SG Hawker Culture Travelling Exhibition during its run at the National

Museum of Singapore.

“Fond Memories of Toa Payoh” was a collaborative effort between Pei Chun Primary School and First Toa Payoh Primary School. As part of the project, students documented the lives of four residents in Toa Payoh, one of which being the first and second-generation owners of Hainan Cuisine & Snacks

located at Kim Keat Palm Market & Food Centre.
