Danger Is On The Rise

How We Prepare

We work with local Police and Fire departments along with Homeland Security to develop contingency plans for both natural and man-made emergency situations

A copy of these plans along with other City rules and regulations can be found in the Tenant Manual, readily available to all City of New Haven employees

The manual provides step by step instructions to help inform employees of procedures during emergency situations

Providing Leadership In Times of Chaos

The City of New Haven has an emergency evacuation team consisting of two Floor Captains for every department and two Building Captains responsible for the entire building

These designated leaders ensure the safety of every individual in their assigned section and makes sure proper evacuation procedures are followed in times of an emergency
