Connecticut borders in the northern part with Massachusetts, in the eastern part with Rode Island, in the southern part with Long Island Sound and in the western part with New York.

It’s the smallest third estate in territorial extension of the USA.But it is the fourth state with the most population with 3.405.565 inhabitants. The principal source of income of Connecticut is the rendering of financial services.

Connecticut means “place of the long river”.

Before the arrival of the Europeans Connecticut was occupied by the tribes Algonquian.

When the Europeans wanted to conquer Connecticut, they provoked a war with the Pequot's tribe. This war is known as Pequot’s War. It finished in 1637 with the victory of the Europeans

The most important river of Connecticut is the Connecticut river.

But there are others rivers like:

Hartford is the capital of Connecticut.

In Stamford there are the Long Island Sound. It’s the estuary of the Antartic Ocean, where there ends numerous rivers of the region of New York, in the United States.

WATERBURY

• Waterbury is a city on the west of Connecticut. It is located in the surroundings of the river Naugatuck

GREENWICH

Greenwich is one of the richest cities in the country. It’s considerate one of the best places to live of EEUU.
