1. BUSINESS SUMMARY
Cobram Sand & Gravel was born out the growth and expansion of
D & T Miller Excavations & Pipelayers.
Cobram Sand & Gravel has five sister companies, two employment
& one plant hire company providing workers and the supply of plant
& equipment to the three front line companies, Cobram Sand &
Gravel, Millgas & D & T Miller Excavations & Pipelayers.
Cobram Sand & Gravel has taken over the main role from
D & T Miller Excavations & Pipelayers of providing a service to
Cobram/Barooga and the surrounding area.
D & T Miller Excavations & Pipelayers have taken the roll of suppling their service’s to the pipeline
industry by only dealing with the works that takes them away from the local area.
Millgas has taken over the new APA Group contract, that see’s Millgas solely involved in the
management and construction of Gas mains & service installation, running from Euroa in the South,
Finley in the North East, Echuca-Moama in the North West and all towns in between. Millgas have an
office based in Shepparton and Cobram and consists of two crews and utilising three subcontract
crews.

Cobram Sand & Gravel provides Project Management and Construction Services for the
Construction of subdivisions, major irrigation works, telecommunications, power, sewer and water
utilities, using open cut, trench-less processes. Supply of all types of Sand gravel & landscaping
materials.
Cobram Sand & Gravel are able to provide the complete range of services from project concept,
estimation, design, procurement, construction to commissioning and maintenance.
The management team have over 30 years experience in the operation, construction and maintenance
of irrigation systems, water, sewer & drainage reticulation and telecommunications networks
comprising steel, DICL, concrete, PVC, ABS and polyethylene piping. And have completed a range of
these projects around Australia.
Over the past 10 years D & T Miller Excavations & pipelayers have extend their range of work to
include being the principal contractor on residential, rural & industrial Subdivisions, bulk earth works
including retention basin and major water storages, road construction, major site cuts & fill and all
areas of irrigation works, and have now past this onto Cobram Sand & Gravel.

2. PERSONNEL
Cobram Sand & Gravel employs 12 full-time employees, including Supervisors, Crew leaders, plant
operators, truck drivers, PE welders, plumbers and general field staff based in Victoria, but available to
work around Australia. Our employees have a wide and varied range of experience they can bring to
any project.
Through our Pre-Project Inductions (PPI) our crews our fully briefed on particular clients technical,
OH&S, Environmental and Quality requirements prior to a project commencing. This process has
enabled the company to become one of the fastest growing and highly commended operations
working in the southern states.
Our crews are tailored to suit the needs of your project; to ensure the most efficient, cost effective and
productive outcomes, led by a strong management system, support and structure.

Project Superintendant for the NVIRP project
The day to day running of the supply of quarried products to local
builders and concretors.
In charge of and the organization of the maintence and
servicing of all plant, vehicles and equipment
Completed successful pipeline projects in South Australia as
coating crew Superintendant.

3. MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Cobram Sand & Gravel’s integrated management system incorporates
our Quality, Safety and Environment System. CSG requires a high level
of quality workmanship from its employees and contractors and
supports this with training and regular competency testing. CSG
ensures that our workforce is both capable and qualified relevant to the
tasks being undertaken.
Cobram Sand & Gravel holds a zero Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate
and prides itself on the overall safe working record of both its own
resources and those of subcontractors.
Our commitment to quality of installation, respect and protection for the
environment and the safety of our employees, sub contractors and the
general public is paramount to our success in all projects.
