1. Prevent the onset of and reduce the progression of substance abuse ( including childhood and underage drinking)

2. Reduce substance abuse related problems in communities.

3. Build prevention capacity at the state and local levels

Priority Problems for MN SPF SIG

Past 30-day alcohol use among 6th, 9th, and 12th graders

Binge drinking among 9th and 12th graders

Binge drinking among 18-25 year olds

Planning & Implementation GrantTarget population

 Past 30-day alcohol use among 6th, 9th, and 12th graders

Kinds of interventions that might come to our community with this grant:Environmental interventions such as policy change,

or social norms marketing campaigns such as Positive Community Norms (Most of Us campaign)
