Clarion Announces the Debut of Pandora Radio Feature and
Early Release of 2012 CD Audio Source Units
Clarion Ships Two All-New 2012 CD Receivers
Cypress, California, (November 1, 2011) – Clarion Corporation of America, a leader in
the mobile electronics industry announces the debut of the Pandora internet radio
feature compatibility in an early released 2012 single CD source unit shipping this
month. Clarion will ship two all-new 2012 in-dash CD source units within this year.
Clarion’s new 2012 CD products boast sleek-new styling, intuitive user-friendly features
on vivid displays with a range of connectivity options. Both the CZ202 and CZ102 are
the entry level models for the 2012 Clarion CD line, but they are far from basic and have
the same look and feel as the high-end CD products debuting early next year.
The CZ202 and CZ102 feature front auxiliary inputs, CD/ MP3 and WMA playback, Beat
EQ and Magna Bass EX sound enhancements, a low pass crossover for subwoofer and
3-Band Parametric EQ and are OEM steering wheel remote control ready.
The CZ202 offers many up-level features you would expect in a much more expensive
source unit, including Pandora radio compatibility via connected iPhone USB, a front
panel USB with slide cover, iPod/ iPhone control and direct digital audio connection via
USB.
“Clarion is please to introduce premium features such as Pandora internet radio, direct
digital sound and sleek cosmetics at an extraordinary price point,” states Adam
Thomas, Vice President of Marketing for Clarion Corporation of America. “Clarion’s
CZ202 offers the hottest new Pandora feature and we are excited that it is among the
most competitively priced units out there offering this feature.”
“Thanks to our listeners’ enthusiasm for personalized radio in the car, the automotive
rollout of Pandora is happening very swiftly compared to the typical development cycle
of vehicle infotainment technologies. We’re excited about the new Clarion
implementation, which offers comprehensive control of Pandora from the car radio,”
said Jessica Steel, Executive Vice President of Business and Corporate Development
for Pandora.
The CZ102 single DIN CD player has an entry level price while offering many great
features with attractive cosmetics, such as OEM steering wheel remote control ready
typically featured on higher end units. Also includes front AUX input, a wireless remote
control, detachable faceplate, switchable RCA outputs and 45w per channel high-power
amplifier. The CZ102 has an expensive look, feel and sound for a great value of MSRP
$99.99.
For those who need a robust CD receiver with key features and a premium look and feel at a sensible price, look no further, either the Clarion CZ202 or CZ102 would be the perfect choice.
These exciting new Clarion 2012 products will be shipping and readily available within
the month of December to help spur the Holiday selling season throughout Clarion’s
distribution network.
