- 2. Careers in Federal Libraries Google group:started in 2008 to
promote federal librarianship and mentor library students
- 3. Existing SlideShare site hosts CiFL presentations
- 4. 2011 CIFL social media working group:Students and new
librarian collaborate in Fall 2011 to stand up social media
presence under the guidance of experienced federal librarian.
- 5. CIFL Group collaborative discussions
- 6. Using Google Docs to share ideas and sample blog themes.
Cindy Hirsch is the lead on blog design and media integration.
- 7. Kelsey Adams and Melinda Beyer are the leads on Facebook.I
set up RSS feeds from Twitter and Google Groups to Facebook using
FB Involver app
- 8. Early draft shows RSS feeds from the Google Careers group
and Twitter. Large header made it difficult to show features in a
single screen. Later became the in Beta public version.
- 9. Behind the scenes at the WordPress blog. QuickPress pushes
posts to Facebook.
- 10. CiFL Demo is the shadow blog I used for drafting. Feeds,
menus, and widgets then exported to primary blog site.
- 11. Established LinkedIn Group, then assigned ownership to
Federal Librarian - Nancy Faget.
- 12. HootSuite management page for the new twitter account.
Tiffany Jane Brand takes the lead on tweeting.Integration of
Twitter, WordPress, Facebook and LinkedIn by Cindy shown in tabs on
top of this and next page. Messages can be composed in HootSuite
and scheduled to go out to any of the managed accounts.
- 13. A glitch - messages composed in HootSuite by CiFL owner are
integrated with Cindys LinkedIn account.

post, subscription feeds, syndicated feeds, blog posts, social
medialinks, follows and top tabs including About and Guest post
guidelines.
