To the neighboring town
The trip was simple they only had to take the high road andAfter the junction
They will go right into the direction of the town near their village
Of which they will can see the minaret lost in morning mist
That's what their parents their friends told themBut after several days of walking
They still had not reached the townContrary to what was promised
At the beginning of their journey They had met with residents who had come from the town
They had them confirmed that they were well on track They had do not for long before they arrive
They saw the minaret lost in morning mist when they awokeMist that persisted despite the sun of these days of continuous walking
Every time they looked up To see if they approached their destination
Then they had met anyoneBut comforted by the statements of previous walkers
They were not worried about itEspecially as the minaret was still there
Before their eyes if they raised their headsLost in the morning mist
Although the day was advancedAnd the sky above them with a transparent blue
They were forced at nightSleeping on the bottom side of the road
Where they found leavesWhich enabled them to establish a comfortable layer
In the months that followed
They saw no oneBut the minaret was still there in front of them lost in the mist
Provided they raise their eyes

They had solved the problem of foodOnce their supplies exhaustedBy eating fruits and vegetables
Abundant in orchards and gardens which bordered the road
The same for their waterAt long they could fill their leather bottle in the wells
And quench their thirstheightened by these uniformly sunny days
Although several months had elapsedAnd that they had gone off in early summer
They would have owed at least being in winter They had a weather set fair
What could they do other than to advance Towards this townPurpose of their trip
Of which they saw the minaret for months lost in the mist
Why they did not meet others walkersCame down from this town purpose of their trip
They could find no answer
Had they got lost
In this case the minaret would have had to move awayOr disappear Yet they found again every morning with gratitude
Which stood in the morning mist
Why the mist persisted itWhile the days were sunny as uniformly
The sky above their heads as blue They did not have the answers
After several years they were wondered if they had not them launched
In an excessive business undertaking this journey from their villageEven if the distance towards this location did not seem so great
Compared to their strengths and by all accounts
They no longer remembered exactly why They had undertaken this trip
They no longer remembered that of their preparationsAnd of the encouragement of their families
They still remembered their blessings and encouragements as theirMay Allah protect you
Be with you The merciful You'll see you'll be at your destination before the evening

What could they doShould they stop their journey and return
Saying they had been misled That the town in question was more distant than indicated
Why then each day the inhabitants of this town came to their village
We take them for fools if not for disbelievers They might be the laughingstock of everyone
Has anyone ever seen such awkward men unable to reach the nearest town
They hesitated for a yearDay after day into their hesitation while continuing to advance
Every time they raised their heads The minaret was still in the mist before their eyes
Became this minaret the object of their journeyOf which they did not recall the finality
Fortunately they were seeing itIt gave them confidence that they had not gone for nothing
Would they have owed stoppedBefore making a decision
They preferred to continue to advanceEspecially since the road was still wide
Thus promising that it would not lead to deadlock
After twenty years they had taken their decision They would continue their journey through That had calmed them
Since the accumulated fatigueCould not be wasted
By an untimely returning
What would have told their relatives their neighbors and friendsOn their lack of perseverance
We shall not commence a journey
Without reaching its endOtherwise you displays lightness
Culpable carelessness
So they continued to walk towards The minaret lost in the mist
Despite the succession of the yearsSummer had not stopped spreading sunny days
They saw this as a promotion This perpetual summer avoided at them
ColdIcy wind

RainSnow stinging
This could be a sign thatAllah had not abandoned them
And that the task He had assigned them
They should conduct it to the endIt was their duty
Their fate Yes their destiny to reach this town which they could see
The minaret lost in the mist
Why do they met nobodyWas it because the town was too far
So why at the beginning of their journey they had met all these inhabitants That they had said them they were on track
To encourage them or perhaps to deceive them Their malignancy was a well know fact
Now that they had reached an advanced age They had carved canes with olive branches
They did not advance so rapidlyWhich explained that the minaret seemed not to come closer
And even they felt thatSome days it was walking away
Since they no longer distinguished in its mist
They understood that the reason was rather their failing eyesightOld age had caught up them without so they take careApplying this veil over their eyes
Wholy to their business to finish their journey and praise AllahIn the mosque of which they distinguished almost from the leaving
The minaret apparently lost in a morning mistWhich persisted throughout the sunny days
They stopped more frequently To regain their strength to continue their journey
During these stops
They remembered of their livesIn their village before taking the liberty of this starting
They were so happy
Why the resolution of this journeyOf which they kept hoping it would not be endless
For this minaret lost in its persistent mistAlthough they enjoy the beautiful sunny days
At least they were thinking Their trip was without incident
They had made good progress towards this town
They had forgotten why they intended to achieve it

Certainly they had the impression today That the more they advanced the more it receded
But they knew that it was ratherBecause their eyesight had declined
That old age had laid its veil over their eyes
But no doubt Tomorrow
At the bend of the roadIn a sunny day as today
They would have the village with its minaret in front of their eyes They have reached the end of their journey
Tomorrow
