Characterization of Coronal and Interplanetary Shocks and Coronal Mass Ejections

Focused Questions:• What are the plasma parameters (n,T,v, |B|) in the ambient (pre-shocked) corona?• What are the CME conditions that lead to shocks?• What role do shocks play in the production of energetic particles?
