Chapter 3

Regulates and controls the movement of traffic.

Tells drivers what to do and what not to do.

The colors are usually red, white, black, green on white or white on black

You must stop regardless if lights are flashing.

Communicates what type of road the driver will face ahead.

Tells the driver if certain people or animals cross the road.

Signs tell you what to expect in the roadways.

Interstates that lead into city have 3 digits & begin with an odd number.

A three digit route that begins with an even number.

Signs that tell you where you are, what exits are coming, and how far the next exit is.

Tells you how far your destination is.

Are indicated by the colors blue with white lettering. It tells you about gas, camping,hospital & more!!

The meaning is conveyed by colors shapes, symbols and numbers.
