Engineering Graphics has 22 out of 94 courses in master course status• Architectural Engineering and Construction Management

Electro-Mechanical has 5 out of 25 courses in master course status • Electronics

Welding has 8 out of 22 courses in master course status • Welding

MOOCs

• Technical Math for industry MOOC (massive open online course) will start June 23 and run for 5 weeks.

• Goal is to be a refresher course for math skills including:– Numbers, conversions and Measurements– Algebraic Essentials– Geometry– Basic Trig properties, Vectors and Logarithms– Statistics, Graphs and Basic Finance

• Students who pass all quizzes with 80% or higher will earn a certificate of completion which encourages them to go to a CCCS community college and attempt a “test out” of MATH 108-Technical Math for college credit.

• Basic Employability Skills for Industry is the next MOOC which will start in October. The Navigator team is working on content.

OER

• OER or open educational resources in this grant is anything produced using grant funds will be published and available online to use, edit, and reuse.

• OER can and will contain all lectures, videos, presentations, assignment sheets, labs, grading rubrics and even some of the assessments, and tests.

•  All courses will be published on www.merlot.org which is the California State University system’s OER repository
