Reports and Grading The new grading system for

GCSEs is 9-1.

This table shows how these

correlate to the old style

grading system of A*-G.

All new GCSEs will now be

assessed on the 9-1 scale,

old GCSEs will still be

assessed as A*-G.

All reports that are sent home will reflect these changes in grading.

They will still indicate whether a student is working below, at or above target.

Careers and Work Experience

•We are delighted to be working with Reed in

Partnership to support our careers programme.

There will NOT be a dedicated work experience

week in the summer term.

•Danny Murphy from Reed In Partnership will be

coordinating career interviews and offering

opportunities for excellent work experience

placements – these can be arranged in school

holidays.

•We will continue to offer workshops and

seminars run by employers from a variety of

sectors, such as the science workshop run by

army officers.

•There will be a careers workshop on 18th July 20

• Students should be receiving 1 piece of homework from each subject per week.

• They should be working for at least 1 hour per day on homework or revision.

• Students need to check Show My Homework daily to ensure they are keeping up to date with their homework.

• Deadlines for coursework will also be shown on SMH for individual subjects. Students must ensure they keep to deadlines to avoid getting behind in their work.
