CET Color X-Press 500
In 1990, Our founder started Express Color, a large-format digital printing provider. As a large-format digital printing pioneer, he was one of the original founders of the Digital Printing Imaging Association (DPI) which has now merged
with SGIA. In 2008, he founded CET Color - where he continues to be a graphics venture capitalist who believes he can bring innovation and value to the customer through
his 20 years of industry experience. In the International Expansion of the company has signed an agreement during SGIA 2010 in Vegas for the Exclusive Master Distribution of their printers in Latin America thru PrintLat dealer network.
CET Color Company History
“The wide format industry has recently seen an abundance of

U.V. Flatbed Market Trends
“I.T. Strategies segments the UV inkjet sector into four areas—low-end and high-end flatbed and roll-to-roll, all of which experienced growth. UV inkjet printer unit sales are forecast to grow from 2,801 printers in 2009 to 4,386 printers in 2014, a CAGR of nine percent. Low-end flatbed UV inkjet printers continue to be the largest segment of UV inkjet printer sales, growing from 1,666 printers in 2009 to 2,609 in 2014, a CAGR of nine percent”

U.V. Flatbed Market Trends
“The growth in UV inkjet printers—both flatbed and roll-to-roll—opens up high-volume digital and screen markets to UV solutions at the expense of solvent inkjet and screen printing. PFP shops continue to consolidate demand on highly productive UV printers that can run at lower ink costs with a smaller staff”

U.V. inks do not contain components that evaporate, so less ink per square printing unit is used. UV inks cure, or set, by chemical reaction from exposure to ultraviolet light. Profiling UV Ink is easier than other types of ink due to less dot gain during printing. Some U.V. Inks are solvent free.

Two different types of Curing Technology
L.E.D. Lamps vs. Mercury Vapor Lamps
L.E.D Curing
Lamp Arrays typically last 10,000 – 15,000 hours. Due to the lack of U.V. intensity, device print speeds are generally 100 sq ft hr or less. Cost to replace Lamp Arrays generally equal the same amount of $ over the same period as Mercury Vapor Curing lamps.

Mercury Vapor Curing
Lamp Arrays typically last 500 hours. As a result of high U.V. intensity, device print speeds can be as high as 3000 sq ft hr. Cost to replace Mercury Vapor Curing lamps generally equal the same amount of $ over the same period as U.V. Lamp arrays.
U.V. Technology Opens New Vertical Market Opportunities
Digital UV Flatbed technology opens up entire new markets to print service providers. The fact that UV Ink adheres to almost any substrate allows printing applications in many previously unreachable industries. Some of these include, industrial metal marking, fine art mirror and glass displays, mass customization during manufacturing processes and vacuum forming operations.

U.V. Curable Ink Advantages vs. Other Ink Technologies
Instant dry In some cases no VOC emission Adhesion to many rigid substrates without additional preparation Opens new vertical market opportunities Lower costs for labor vs. other technology Lower manufacturing costs due to no intermediate printing substrate being used High speed printing with no finishing = more printing per day
